Zachary Shearer

I am currently in my final year of pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Geographical Information and Analysis with plans to graduate in May of 2025. I hold a previous Bachelor of Arts in Government from New Mexico State University having graduated in December 2016. Following graduation of my current degree I hope to find employment with a federal entity working with Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing technology. 

I served in the Marine Corps Reserve from 2011 to 2020, ending my career as a Sergeant and holding the billet of Reserve Battery Communications Chief at Rocket Battery D, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment. From October 2018 to May 2019 I deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan as part of the HIMARS Detachment, Task Force Southwest 19.1, in support of Operation Freedom Sentinel and Resolute Support Mission.
