The VetSuccess on Campus (VSOC) program is a partnership between KU and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) designed to support veterans, service members, and eligible dependents through their college journey. The program provides on-campus access to academic and career counseling, benefits guidance and personalized support to help you thrive at KU, complete your degree, and transition confidently into the workforce

A full-time VSOC counselor is located on the Lawrence campus, making KU one of only 104 schools nationwide with this resource.

VSOC Services Include:

• Adjustment counseling to help complete education programs and find employment
• Personalized career planning and guidance (Ch. 36 PCPG)
• Assistance in achieving educational, career goals
• Understanding and applying for Ch. 31 Veterans Readiness & Employment (VR&E)
• Information on other VA benefits, e.g. disability compensation
• Connection to other VA benefits, e.g. VA health care & mental health services

Eligibility:

• Servicemembers and veterans eligible for any VA educational benefit
• Spouses/dependents eligible for Post-9/11 VA education benefits
