Everyone is welcome in the MASC! The full center is open*:

• Fall/Spring/Summer semesters: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday

  • Aug. 7 to Dec. 15, 2023 (Fall 23)

  • Jan. 8 to May 10, 2024 (Spring 24)

  • June 3 to July 26, 2023 (Summer 24)

Walk-ins are available when the full center is open, though we encourage you to schedule an appointment at least 1 business day in advance to ensure staff are available to assist.

The center is available for virtual assistance (phone, Skype IM, Teams or video) when we are open or by appointment. Evening/Saturday appointments are available.

  • The full center is typically closed but staff remain available virtually and the 24/7 lounge will remain accessible for current students with swipe access.
    • Dec. 16, 2023 to Jan. 5, 2024 - Winter break

We are closed/unavailable on most federal holidays

• The 24/7 lounge will remain accessible for current students with swipe access.
• Exceptions: On Veterans Day, Presidents Day and Juneteenth, the full center is open and staff are available.

Inclement weather

• If campus closes or modifies hours due to inclement weather, it applies to the center as well. Visit KU alerts for the latest info.

To schedule a time, please call or use our contact form. Current students may schedule daytime appointments through Jayhawk GPS/Navigate app.

• Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CDT (virtual, phone or in person)
• Evenings by appointment 5:30-8 p.m. CDT (virtual/phone only)
• Saturdays by appointment (virtual/phone only)
• Other times are available for virtual/phone appointments, especially if you live in an overseas time zone. Message us and we are happy to accommodate.

The main lounge is available with KU ID swipe access 24/7

• Students only need to swipe in after the full center is closed. On weekends and potentially at other times, students will also need to swipe to get into the building.
• Please test your KU ID on the door before you need access!
• As of Fall 2023, all current students with a known military affiliation have automatically been granted access.
• Incoming students who have disclosed a military affiliation will automatically be given access during the first week of their first semester or can contact us if earlier access is needed. Any other student who wishes to have access can contact us as well. Note: It can take up to 4 business days to receive access once requested.
• The break room and printer will not be available outside of the full center hours. 

Several computers are available for student use throughout the center.

• Computers have CAC readers and webcams
• Students are encouraged to bring their own headsets. We also have a couple of headsets we can check out to students for use while they are in the center.
