Brady Child

I am pursuing a major in engineering physics and chemistry. After my undergraduate studies, I hope to continue my education in a graduate program and eventually get a PhD in physics. I want to go into a field where I can work on engineering solutions that deal with finding more sustainable energy sources and combat climate change. My father is a member of the United States Army. I have met some of my best friends because of where my dad was stationed, whom I don't think I would have been able to meet without. I also admire him greatly for his service and pride in what he does. I have been conducting research in high-energy particle physics in the physics department. I am a member of Kube Sat, the KU cube satellite organization, which recently had its cube satellite sent into orbit. I am a Society of Physics Students member and participate in outreach events at local schools to talk about physics.
