Tamara Horner

As a military dependent and first-generation college student, Tamara received her B.S. in Business Administration from Emporia State University. Upon graduation, she worked in the Office of Admissions at Emporia State University for two years.  After relocating to Lawrence, she began a career supporting KU's military community as the Administrative Associate for the Naval ROTC department. Tamara enjoyed 15 years providing administration and reciprocal mentoring to active duty staff and midshipmen before joining the Military Affiliated Student Center as Military and VA Benefits Coordinator in 2024.
